Mechanical Supervisor
Contract: Permanent | Location: UK & Ireland | Hours: Rotation of 3 weeks on site and 1 week off site.
Responsibilities
* Compliance with HSE rules during erection and finishing of WTG subcontractors.
* Monitor and supervise erection and completion of WEA to ensure professional, technical, and high‑quality performance of subcontractors.
* Train colleagues and subcontractors onsite.
* Execute the mechanical part of the quality check using the Q‑Gate 23 checklist.
* Check completeness and accuracy of erection reports and associated documents.
* Improve documentation and processes related to the area of responsibility.
* Support the site manager with inspection of incoming goods (gate 1) onsite.
* Create reports according to the relevant NC process.
* Verify tools brought and used by subcontractors; ensure they are calibrated and permitted.
* Control and distribute special tools and equipment from the Nordex erection container to subcontractors.
* Verify correct torque applied to structural bolts in accordance with specifications.
* Provide technical guidance for corrective measures to remedy defects identified by subcontractors.
* Notify site manager of defective or missing parts for replacement.
* Verify subcontractor personnel qualifications (torque technology, service lift, fall protection).
* Report to site manager on status of erection and finishing works of WTG.
* Create required documentation such as list of defects per Order Execution Process G0630_EN.
Qualifications
* Degree education or equivalent with significant experience in a similar role.
* Proven experience with K08 installation processes and best practices.
* Practical experience working with cranes.
* In‑depth technical knowledge of wind farms and turbines and ability to influence stakeholders on technical solutions.
* Strong understanding of HSE risks, CDM site regulations, and Irish Safe Pass & CSCS cards.
* Motivation to work on remote sites; approximately 60% of time away from home.
* Full UK/EU driving licence.
