An exciting opportunity has arisen at Oaklands for a Learner Recruitment Executive -Apprenticeships to provide dynamic and high-quality recruitment support for apprentices across a wide range of industries.

We are looking for a proactive and driven Learner Recruitment Executive to join our team and play a crucial role in connecting learners with apprenticeship opportunities and supporting them through the recruitment and onboarding process. In this position, you will:

* Promote apprenticeship vacancies across digital platforms and social media
* Manage the full recruitment cycle from application to onboarding
* Support employers with recruitment events and candidate selection

You will also be responsible for:

* Building strong relationships with external agencies and internal stakeholders
* Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining accurate CRM records

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, a strong understanding of apprenticeship pathways, and experience in recruitment or talent acquisition. For example, excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, experience with data entry, administrative tasks and a proactive approach. You should be proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively. Previous experience in recruitment, apprenticeships, or employability programmes is essential, along with a commitment to providing a high-quality learner and employer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Learner Recruitment

* Collaborate with the Business Development Manager to promote apprenticeship vacancies via the National Apprenticeship Service, Grofar, the college website, and digital platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok.
* Manage a portfolio of employer vacancies – providing updates, progress reports, and recruitment support to ensure timely placements.
* Pre-screen applicants using digital tools and AI-matching platforms to ensure alignment between candidate profiles and apprenticeship roles.
* Support employers with virtual or in-person assessment centres, recruitment days, and onboarding events as required.
* Coordinate and manage candidate interview scheduling, ensuring vacancies are filled efficiently and candidate/employer expectations are met.
* Enrol successful candidates onto apprenticeship programmes and provide seamless onboarding support including digital documentation, compliance checks, and induction guidance.
* Coach and prepare candidates for employer interviews with tailored guidance, mock interview support, and access to digital preparation tools.
* Ensure every applicant is followed up with and supported - signposting to alternative pathways, college courses, or other training opportunities where appropriate.
* Proactively support new apprenticeship opportunities by nurturing existing employer relationships and sourcing placement opportunities.

Relationship Management

* Develop and maintain strong connections with external referral agencies, careers services, schools, and youth organisations to drive a strong pipeline of learners.
* Liaise effectively with internal stakeholders such as curriculum leads, schools liaison officers, and learner support teams to ensure alignment on recruitment needs.
* Ensure all unsuccessful candidates are referred to the most suitable alternative provision or support pathways.

Marketing & Promotion

* Represent the College at apprenticeship events, careers fairs, virtual showcases, and community outreach events.
* Work closely with the marketing team to create engaging digital campaigns and social media content that promote current opportunities and upcoming recruitment events.
* Collaborate with the Business Development Team on employer engagement events and joint marketing activities.

Quality & Administration

* Ensure all apprenticeship applications meet compliance standards and regulatory expectations (Ofsted, ESFA, etc.).
* Deliver impartial and accurate Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) to all prospective learners in line with the Gatsby Benchmarks and Matrix standards.
* Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of all learner interactions, employer communications, and recruitment activity in the CRM.
* Monitor recruitment KPIs and produce regular reports on engagement, outcomes, and progression rates.
* Use data-driven insights to improve recruitment efficiency and learner matching.

Is This You?

Experience and Qualifications

* Minimum 2 years’ experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or sales, preferably within education, apprenticeships, or employability.
* Demonstrated success in meeting KPIs, targets, and learner/employer satisfaction metrics.
* Good knowledge of apprenticeship standards, pathways, and sector trends.
* Experience working with CRM systems and digital recruitment tools.
* Understanding of emerging technologies such as AI-assisted matching tools, digital onboarding platforms, and e-portfolio systems.
* Level 2 (or equivalent) English and Maths – with a willingness to undertake further development if required.

* Positive, proactive, and target-driven with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
* Proven ability to build trust and rapport with learners, employers, and internal teams.
* Strong organisational and time management skills - able to manage multiple campaigns and priorities simultaneously.
* Skilled in using social media (Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok) for engagement and promotion.
* Empathetic, supportive, and resilient when handling challenging conversations.
* High attention to detail in data handling, application processing, and communications.
* Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of recruitment and learner support.
