Role Description
This is a contract role for an Accounts Assistant, based in Colchester with a hybrid working arrangement allowing some work from home. The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for various day-to-day tasks including processing invoices, managing accounts payable and receivable, carrying out bank reconciliations, and maintaining financial records. Additional duties include assisting with payroll processing, contributing to budget preparation, and supporting month-end and year-end financial close processes.
Qualifications
* Strong skills in invoice processing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
* Proficiency in bank reconciliations and maintaining financial records
* Experience in payroll processing and budget preparation
* Proficiency in supporting month-end and year-end financial close processes
* Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
* Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Relevant degree or qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field
* Experience in the rail industry or a similar sector is advantageous
