Incredible Sales Manager Opportunity!
This unique and newly created position is to operate as a standalone Sales Manager for a fabulous SME based in Bury. This is a massively autonomous position and the candidate required must be real self-starter with the hunger to achieve. Experience of selling Signage or Print is a huge benefit. An even greater benefit will be experience of selling into the Sporting, Sporting Retail, Events sector and Retail industries.
WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOU?
Annual Base Salary of £45k-£60k per annum. Negotiable DOE
Clearly outlined bonus structure! – 15k bonus for 300k sales and a further 10k bonus upon 500k of sales. To put this in perspective, some contract wins can generate revenue of 500k+.
Car Allowance included, 450 per calendar month.
HQ located in Bury, you will be required to attend site at least once per week. Candidates located within an hour commute to Bury are extremely suitable.
Really relaxed and polite working atmosphere, headcount within the business sits at 7.
Permanent position from day one
Monday to Friday working hours, 8.30am-5pm. Field based role with travel into the office on a weekly basis to remain a firm part of the team.
All technology provided, phone, laptop etc.
Working with some of the top sporting, retail and leisure clients in the UK.
Staff days out, attending big events and festivals (Client invitations!)
20 days leave + Bank holidays, rising by 1 each year of service.

THE BUSINESS
Our client specialises within the sporting retail & print field. Working together across multiple areas of expertise, our client is a North West based large format print and signage company, they offer a range of products within a variety of sectors including retail, leisure, events, sporting events & exhibitions. Our client has amassed an excellent reputation and they seek to appoint a driven Sales Manager to drive new business sales.
THE ROLE
Work independently in a stand-alone role, taking full ownership of sales strategy and execution. Demonstrate strong initiative, self-direction and accountability, with the ability to prioritise activities and identify opportunities.
Identify and evaluate long-term sales prospects within the sporting and event calendar, anticipating upcoming events and seasonal trends to support sustained business growth.
Develop sales and marketing strategies and campaigns to target new clients.
Ensure all sales activities, pricing decisions and commercial strategies are aligned with the company’s profitability objectives.
Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients, proactively seeking new business opportunities.
Represent the company at networking events, arranging meetings and actively networking to develop relationships and identify new business opportunities.
Maintain a strong understanding of market conditions and industry trends, keeping up to date with relevant news, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities to inform sales strategy and decision-making.
Collate and share market and competitor activity insights with the wider team.
Develop and adhere to relevant systems, processes and product knowledge.
THE PERSON
Previous proven sales experience within the sports and events sector preferred.
Hard working and ambitious.
Proven experience in acquiring, retaining and managing high-net-worth clients, consistently delivering exceptional results and value.
You must be approachable, enthusiastic and a problem solver with superb communication skills.
Commercial and analytical thinker.
Adaptable to change.
Excellent presenting skills.
Ability to independently drive workload forward.
Natural ability to multi-task and support colleagues in other parts of the business, especially during peak seasons.
