The successful candidate will work as part of a team that, by exploiting allogenic/autologous patient-derived PBMC alone or in combination with patient-derived organoids, is analyzing downstream immune response, developing, and implementing cutting-edge cellular, genomic and molecular techniques with a multimodality analytic approach, plus machine learning models to improve cancer patient risk stratification as well as to predict future targeted and/or immuno-therapy susceptibilities.
Key Responsibilities will include:
* Setting up and performing immune cells-based in vitro assays (including activation, proliferation, and phenotype characterization).
* Planning and executing in vitro studies with patient-derived organoids and allogenic/autologous immune cells
* Executing flow cytometry staining, data collection and analysis (above 10 colors)
* Supporting and performing multimodality experiments according to the DBT lab project.
* Collecting and reporting data to the lab head and solving technical issues as part of a cross-functional project team.
* Collaborating/cooperating with KCL scientists within the Translational Oncology Research Hub, an exclusive research collaboration between the client and the Comprehensive Cancer Centre at KCL
Candidate Requirements:
* BSc in Cell Biology/Immunology/Oncology or related, + a multidisciplinary mix of training/expertise in Oncology and immunology.
* Proven expertise in T cell biology in tumor immune microenvironment and in immunotherapy.
* Significant experience in cell culture techniques (immune cells and primary samples/ patient-derived organoids).
* Extensive experience in multiple colors flow cytometry.
* Ability to communicate with team members from different backgrounds by training/discipline, as well as senior members of the stakeholders/research partner units.
