YOUR ROLE
The Senior HR Business Partner – HR Shared Services is primarily accountable for the leadership and delivery of a comprehensive, customer‑centric HR service throughout the employee lifecycle, acting as the HR Shared Services relationship lead for colleagues, line managers, senior leaders, and external stakeholders.
Supporting the UK Group HR Director and collaborating with the wider HR Business Partnering team (L&D and Talent Acquisition), you will lead a high‑performing HR Shared Services team, fostering a culture of service excellence, process innovation, and continuous improvement.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING | KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
People and Resources
* Lead the HR Shared Service team to deliver a comprehensive and efficient HR employee lifecycle experience to colleagues, managers, and stakeholders.
* Develop the team to think innovatively, fostering continuous improvement and empowering better ways of working.
* Maintain processes and systems, ensuring they meet legislative requirements.
* Identify and implement HR administration process efficiencies in partnership with cross‑functional teams.
* Partner with Talent Acquisition Business Partner and Payroll to oversee recruitment, onboarding, and payroll activities.
HR Data Management
* Maintain accurate HR data management systems and practices.
* Deliver HR MI reports (headcount, absence, attrition, DE&I metrics, etc.) to UK Group HR Director and senior leadership.
* Oversee FTE, headcount, and organisational chart reporting to Group.
* Continuously review and improve HR data handling processes.
HR Policy
* Maintain all HR policies and manage communication across UK and Ireland businesses.
* Provide guidance on employment legislation and support remedial actions.
* Stay abreast of HR trends and best practice, applying them at CMA‑CGM.
* Oversee visa and immigration activity for full legal compliance.
Compensation and Benefits
* Build relationships with 3rd‑party benefit providers and brokers.
* Drive cost‑effective renewal of all policies and schemes.
* Coordinate pension activity and governance, ensuring UK compliance.
* Collaborate with Head Office Compensation & Benefits team for economies of scale.
* Oversee administration for annual salary and bonus processes.
* Manage payroll bureau relationship.
Other HR Operational Duties
* Coordinate seasonal projects such as engagement surveys, focus groups, and L&D partnerships.

Skills and Experience
* Experience within an HR Shared Services environment; team management experience is advantageous.
* Excellent analytical skills with people‑data management experience.
* Integrity, confidentiality, resilience, and strong time‑management skills.
* Effective communication and influencing at all levels.
Practical and Technical Knowledge
* Strong computer literacy, especially MS Excel.
* Innovative approach with a track record of continuous improvement.
* Experience using AI in HR environments.
* Comprehensive knowledge of employment law legislation.
* Proficiency in HR systems, notably Workday and/or SuccessFactors.
Qualifications
* CIPD Level 7 or equivalent (advantageous).
* HR / Law related degree (advantageous).
* Payroll experience (advantageous).
