We are working with a highly regarded international manufacturing business which partners some of the biggest brands in the world. They are seeking a legal counsel to work alongside and assist the more senior lawyers, where you will take on a varied & interesting workload including: · drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts with key customers and suppliers; · advising the business on bids and tenders; · assisting on a variety of different areas including GDPR, Corporate M&A, Employment, Litigation. · building relationships in the business with key stakeholders; and · assisting on the training, education and implementation of legal operations, processes and procedures in the business. You will most likely be between 1 and 4 years PQE, but a higher seniority will also be considered. Commercial Contracts experience is beneficial but the business will also consider lawyers from a commercial discipline such as corporate M&A, commercial litigation, employment, construction, regulatory, banking & finance. Personality wise, the business is looking for someone who is adaptable and excited by a challenge, as well as being good at forging relationships within the business, so this is the main focus for them. This is a fantastic first in-house opportunity for a lawyer currently in private-practice, seeking a first in house move into a collegiate legal team and highly exciting sector. Or, if you are already working in house and seeking more exposure, impact, and responsibility, and the ability to be part of building and shaping a well-oiled legal function, then this offers that. The business operates a hybrid working policy and there is a requirement for 3 days per week in the East Midlands office. The salary and package is a range depending on PQE level and experience but includes some fantastic wider perks and additional cash allowances.
