What You'll Be Doing

* Completing waste assessments and classification of construction, demolition and excavation wastes in general accordance with WM3 and other related guidance.
* Managing projects from start to finish, including handling of large data sets, preparing technical reports, managing project finances and liaising with Clients.
* Conduct occasional site visits to undertake sampling, inspection and/or supervision of waste generating practices.
* Identifying and implementing sustainable solutions for waste and materials management in the civils and land development sectors.
* Advising clients on material reuse mechanisms and regulatory compliance.
* Supporting environmental permitting activities, including applications, variations and surrenders.
* Preparing waste and materials management plans and associated documentation.
* Providing clear, practical advice and guidance to clients before, during and after project delivery.


Qualifications

* A degree in Chemistry or a Geoscience-related subject (MSc preferred).
* Demonstrable experience and technical competence in waste classification and assessment in accordance with WM3 and other related guidance (desirable).
* Understanding and knowledge of waste legislation and policy in the UK.
* Experience within the contaminated land sector or working for an environmental consultancy (advantageous but not essential).
* Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
* A proactive and adaptable mindset, eager to contribute to projects and the wider team.
* A valid UK driving licence and willingness to spend some working days away from the office and home at times.
* Located within an hour of Bristol / Manchester.
