Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Systemic Therapies Unit, Caithness General Hospital
An exciting opportunity has arisen for registered nurses to join the developing Systemic Therapies Unit (STU) at Caithness General Hospital. As part of the Caithness General Redesign Programme, this new model of care offers day-case services aimed at improving patient care and reducing prolonged hospital stays, focusing on outpatient treatment.
We seek a proactive and enthusiastic candidate to support the development of the STU. Working within a satellite integrated team, you will assess and treat patients attending the unit, covering services such as SACT (Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatments), autoimmune diseases (IBD, MS, RA, Polycythaemia, etc.), and anemia/iron deficiencies.
Previous experience in Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided either upon appointment or later. You will be supported through a personal development plan, extensive training, competency achievement, and development opportunities within NHS Highland.
This is a full-time position, 37 hours per week, aligned with service requirements.
Informal enquiries and drop-in visits are encouraged. Please contact Donna Swanson, Senior Charge Nurse, Systemic Therapies Unit, Caithness General Hospital, Wick, Tel: 01955 880 348.
