Healthcare Assistant Opportunity in Canterbury Are you a compassionate and experienced Healthcare Assistant looking to make a meaningful difference in a Child’s life? The Role: We are currently recruiting an experienced and compassionate Female Healthcare Assistant to support a young client with complex care needs during night shifts. This is a rewarding role for someone with a genuine passion for providing high-quality care. You will work closely with the child’s family and the multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, person-centred care while supporting emotional well-being and development. Comprehensive in-house training and an induction programme will be provided, led by our Nurse Manager, to ensure you are fully equipped with the skills and knowledge required to deliver the highest standard of care. We are committed to supporting you throughout your role to ensure the best possible outcomes for our client. Key responsibilities include: Support for Chromosome 16 abnormality, PRRT2 mutation, BFIS, and autism Manage chronic lung disease, sleep apnoea, and respiratory infections Monitor epilepsy, PKD, and autonomic dysfunction Support for FTT and global developmental delay Gastro-jejunostomy tube care for feeding and medication Manage bowel issues (dysmotility, constipation, SBBO) Monitor hypoglycaemia, hypothyroidism, and pan-hypopituitarism Provide skin care for eczema and general developmental support Available Shift Patterns: Sunday 21:00 – 07:00 Essential: Knowledge of infection control, experience with chronic lung disease, sleep apnea, seizure management, bowel management and experience in paediatric complex care. Please note, payment through limited companies is not available for this position. SHCPAE Responsibilities Provide 1-2-1 support to a child with Complex Care needs. Work closely with the Nurse Manager Team to provide quality care to a paediatric client. Commit to a regular working pattern and collaborate with Care Coordinators for effective care delivery. Build rapport with clients and families, working within the family home to achieve individual goals. Potential for growth and development into a supervisor or management role. Requirements Experience in paediatric complex care Experience in delivering care to complex clients, preferably in the community. Experience in Chronic Lung Disease, Seizure Management, Bowel Management is preferred Right to work in the UK. UK driving license and access to own vehicle.
