Job Description:
We are currently looking for a reliable with min of 6ths on road experience Class 1 Driver to join our team based in Cannock. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a growing logistics company with an excellent reputation in the industry.
As a Class 1 Driver, your primary duties will include:
* Trunking: Transporting goods between various distribution centers.
* Store Deliveries: Occasionally making store deliveries, with typically 3 drops per shift.
* Ensuring all loads are secured and transported safely and on time.
* Adhering to all relevant road safety regulations and legal requirements.
* Completing necessary paperwork and ensuring accurate records of deliveries.
* Maintaining a professional and friendly attitude when interacting with customers and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out long-distance trunking runs and sometimes store deliveries.
* Perform vehicle checks before and after each journey to ensure the vehicle is in good condition.
* Follow delivery schedules and routes efficiently.
* Maintain high standards of health and safety, ensuring all laws and regulations are adhered to.
* Ensure that deliveries are made promptly and accurately, with good communication throughout.
Essential Requirements:
* Valid Class 1 HGV license.
* CPC qualification and digital tachograph card.
* Previous driving experience, ideally with trunking and multi-drop deliveries.
* A strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* A professional attitude to customer service.
* Excellent knowledge of driving regulations and road safety.
Desirable:
* min.6mths on road experience no DD/DR/IN 10 and no more than 6pts
Rates & Benefits:
* Competitive hourly rate between £17.00 - £23.00 depending on experience.
