About The Role
Due to an increase in our pupil roll we are looking for enthusiastic and lively teaching assistants to work with pupils who have physical and communication difficulties. The roles involve support in the classroom and a high level of physical work and personal care of pupils. We have vacancies across the school – working with primary aged pupils with autism and pupils with complex physical and health needs in both our primary and secondary departments.
We have purpose designed buildings co-located with mainstream settings and are a very successful school, graded as “outstanding” by Ofsted. High expectations, a positive attitude and teamwork are central to the success of the school.
Actual salary - £25,279 - £26,807 including support staff SEN allowance. Term time only.

Responsibilities and Requirements
* Support in the classroom and provide high level of physical work and personal care of pupils with physical and communication difficulties.
* Work with pupils in a school with both primary and secondary departments, including those with autism and complex health needs.
* Adhere to safeguarding practices and contribute to a safe learning environment.
* Ensure a positive attitude, teamwork and high professional standards in line with school expectations.
* Qualifications: English and Maths GCSE Grade C or equivalent. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to provide proof at interview or sit an equivalency test during probation.
* References: We will request references during shortlisting; candidates should ensure referees are prepared to be contacted.
