Civils Works ManagerContract - PAYE £360 Location - Devon/ CornwallCivil Works Manager Role Overview:An opportunity has arisen for Civils Works Manager. Reporting to the Delivery/Contract Manager you will be responsible for the day to day running of Projects alongside the Project Manager and Project Team to deliver.A safe working sitesProgramme compilation/updates with plannersReview of designs prior to constructionSite checks of constructionProcurement of materialsLiaison with the commercial teamClient facing site meetings and Microsoft Teams callsCompilation of inspection and test plansCompilation and checking/updating of project management plansCompilation and checking/updating of environmental plansKey Responsibilities:Managing a skilled and highly motivated Civils Team, dealing with daily and forever changing challenges in the workplace on multiple sites and liaising with clients and divisions to support the teams to deliver projects on time / on budget and to required standards.Ordering and purchasing of materials and logistical planning.Daily briefings, RAMS and control measures to be put into place so the Teams work safely and efficiently.Guiding the business in an integrated and collaborative manner through the civils phase of projects.Experience and Qualifications:A proven track record in the civil engineering industry - Reinforced concrete, Deep drainage, Earth removal etc.Management experience Dealing with operational Teams at all levels.Preferred experience on South-West Water, Environment Agency, IMERYS, Cormac ProjectsPreferred qualifications - NVQ in civil engineering, SMSTS, First Aid, Street works supervisor, full and clean UK driving licence.Personal Attributes:Desire to understand and promote the Company purpose, vision, values and cultureTrustworthy and ethical approach, exercising discretion where requiredOrganised, structured and professional, with a passion for excellenceFlexibility, resilience and the ability to influence and build relationships at all levelsCommitment to the provision of excellent customer serviceExperience in a fast paced, national and multi-site businessSelf-starter who can prioritise a varied workload and demonstrate good time management to comply with deadlinesPlease call James Day at Fusion People on (phone number removed)--- Fusion People are committed to promoting equal opportunities to people regardless of age, gender, religion, belief, race, sexuality or disability.
