The IT team at Canterbury City Council are looking for a Cloud Engineer to join their Infrastructure team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with the right skills to help develop the council’s cloud infrastructure. You would be joining the team at an exciting time as we are in the process of modernising the council’s digital infrastructure and migrating our services to the cloud.

About this job:
You’ll work with the IT infrastructure team to develop, maintain, and deliver IT infrastructure, services, and systems.
Here’s what you’ll get up to
* Designing and developing our cloud infrastructure
* Managing our Microsoft 365 environment
* Troubleshooting complex issues and providing 2nd and 3rd line support for IT issues
* Ensuring we maintain a secure environment with configuration, patching and upgrades.
* Assist with general infrastructure projects, including design, delivery and support.
Working pattern:
* Monday – Friday, excluding bank holidays
* Full-Time 37 hours a week
* Permanent contract
The team operates a flexible hybrid working model. Normally, you will be expected to be on site at least once a week. This may vary from week to week and could be more often depending on the team’s workload and the projects you are working on.

About you. You will have the following;
Your knowledge
* Practical Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365
* Strong knowledge of SharePoint, Teams
* Knowledge of security and compliance regulations
* Knowledge of networking and firewall administration
Your experience
* Experience in designing and architecting IT solutions.
Your qualifications
* An undergraduate degree (or significant relevant practical experience in an ICT infrastructure environment)
