Waking Night Support Worker Childrens Services Location: Selby (YO8) Salary: £27,000 Job Type: Full-time Waking Nights We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a respected residential childrens care provider, for Waking Night Support Workers to join their dedicated team in Selby. This is an exciting opportunity to support vulnerable children in a therapeutic setting during the night, providing stability, safety, and emotional reassurance. About the Role As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will play a key role in ensuring the wellbeing of children and young people overnight in a nurturing residential home. You will work closely with the day staff team to ensure continuity of care and contribute to a secure and therapeutic environment. Key responsibilities include: Providing emotional and practical support throughout the night. Monitoring the childrens safety and wellbeing during sleeping hours. Managing bedtime and morning routines as needed. Completing household tasks and maintaining a calm, settled home environment overnight. Accurately recording observations and incidents, contributing to care plans and handovers. Being alert and responsive to any incidents or behaviours that arise during the night. All staff are trained in behaviour management, including Team Teach techniques, and receive ongoing support from a clinical and therapeutic team.
