We're looking for a passionate and forward-thinking Director and Regional Head of Trusts & Estates. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to combine technical excellence with strategic vision, team leadership, and a genuine commitment to exceptional client care.

As the Regional Head of Trusts and Estates, you will oversee our Hanley, Leek, and Sandbach teams, driving growth, innovation, and operational excellence across the department.

What the job includes:

* Leading, supporting, and mentoring talented teams, helping them grow and achieve their full potential.
* Managing a diverse and high-quality caseload covering wills, trusts, estates, and complex matters for private clients.
* Making key strategic decisions to ensure smooth team operations and optimal client service delivery.
* Identifying training needs, career development opportunities, and capacity planning across multiple teams supporting colleagues within the department at all levels to help them thrive and work efficiently.
* To deal proactively with a wide range of correspondence and be able to work on own initiative.
* Able to take on challenges and see solutions through to successful conclusion.
* Liaising with existing and new clients, working efficiently, effectively and professionally.
* Playing a pivotal role in business development, strengthening client relationships, and winning new business opportunities.
* Collaborating closely with senior leadership to shape the department's future direction.

What you need:

* A qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with extensive Trusts and Estates experience.
* In-depth knowledge of estate administration, inheritance tax, trust and estate taxation, wills (including complex wills), deeds of variation, and powers of attorney.
* Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and inspire a team.
* Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal matters clearly and empathetically.
* A strategic thinker with excellent business development, organisation, and problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent administrative, planning, organisation and time management skills to meet deadlines.
* Pro-active and self-motivated with a desire to support career progression across the department.
* IT literacy, including MS Office, and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
