SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School, Thornton

Salary: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour (depending on experience)

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Thornton to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to start immediately.
About the Role:
You’ll be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including autism, speech and language difficulties, and social-emotional challenges. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you’ll help create a safe and engaging learning environment tailored to individual needs.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working with children with SEN (in school, care, or youth settings)
* A calm, patient, and resilient approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A genuine passion for helping children thrive
Qualifications (desirable but not essential):
* Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
* Team Teach or other de-escalation training
* Experience with EHCPs and one-to-one support
