Our client is a well-known and respected hospitality business with a strong presence across the UK. They are now looking to strengthen their team with the addition of a Financial Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced, customer-focused organisation where finance plays a key role in business performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. · Own the fixed asset registers for all entities and business partnering with the operational team on new projects. Producing group capex spend reports.
2. Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and supporting schedules
3. Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
4. Support month-end and year-end close processes
5. Assist with budgeting and forecasting cycles
6. Contribute to financial reporting and variance analysis
7. Support cash flow reporting and monitoring
8. Liaise with operational teams to ensure accurate and timely financial data
9. Assist with audit preparation and external auditor queries
10. Support ongoing process improvements within the finance function
About You
11. Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA)
12. Previous experience in a similar role (hospitality or multi-site environment desirable)
13. Strong attention to detail and good technical accounting knowledge
14. Confident using Excel and financial systems
15. Strong communication skills and willingness to work across departments
16. Proactive attitude with a desire to learn and progress professionally
