We are delighted to be recruiting for our client to recruit a CNC Turner to join their experienced team. This is a long-established engineering business with decades of experience delivering high-quality solutions across a wide range of sectors. Based in central Scotland, the company provides complete project management servicesfrom material sourcing and fabrication through to precision machining and specialist finishes. The modern CNC Machine Shop is equipped with advanced tooling and technology, capable of producing complex, tolerance-critical components. Work ranges from one-off prototypes to medium-volume production runs, always meeting the evolving demands of specialist markets. The business supports clients across multiple industries, including Oil & Gas, Energy & Power, Renewables, Automotive, Mining & Heavy Equipment. The Role You will be responsible for setting, programming (Fanuc) and operating lathes to produce components to a high standard in the most efficient / cost effective manner. You will ensure that information is transferred between shifts and team members as required, be committed to continuous improvement and suggest improvements regarding methods, processes and tooling. Specific responsibilities will also include: Preparing & loading raw materials and parts onto the machines. Preparing test runs to check that outputs are to specification. Setting machines to fabricate a large number of parts. Inspect and measure finished products. The Candidate This position will suit someone with excellent knowledge of interpreting engineering drawings and experience of using Fanuc controls. Specific experience should include tool selection, cutting tool parameters, setting and operating a range of CNC machine tools. The hours for this role will be: 7.30am - 4.30pm (Monday to Thursday) 7.30am - 12.30pm (Friday)
