Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our team in Brentwood, United Kingdom. As a vital member of our kitchen staff, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.
* Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
* Wash dishes, pots, and pans using manual and automatic dishwashing equipment
* Assist in food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen staff
* Ensure proper storage and organization of kitchen supplies and ingredients
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all kitchen areas
* Dispose of waste and recycling materials according to established procedures
* Assist with receiving and storing deliveries of food and supplies
* Perform regular deep cleaning tasks as scheduled
* Support the kitchen team during busy periods and special events
* Adhere to all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations
Qualifications
* Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items
* Keen attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
* Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
* Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
* Willingness to learn and take direction from kitchen staff
* Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
* Ability to multitask and prioritize duties effectively
