Minimum 1+ years school psychologist experience required.
An opportunity is available for skilled professionals specializing in the assessment and support of K-12 students. This contract position is based in Belvidere, IL, where you will play a crucial role in providing psychological evaluations and consultations within a school setting.
Qualifications:
* Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
* Valid School Psychologist certification or licensure
* Experience working with K-12 students
* Strong knowledge of special education laws and procedures
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
Responsibilities:
* Act as a diagnostic component of the IEP team to evaluate student eligibility for special services.
* Identify and utilize appropriate evaluation tools based on referral concerns to address student needs.
* Interpret and document observations and evaluations in reports for IEP eligibility conferences.
* Assist in assessing students fit within their instructional environments, considering various learning styles and resources.
* Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to find effective solutions to academic and behavioral challenges.
* Participate in district-wide Response to Intervention (RtI) teams and meet with parents to discuss assessment results prior to IEP meetings.
