By joining Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland (CHSS) as Deputy Head of Community Support Services you can be the difference between people just surviving and really living.
You will be part of Scotland’s leading health charity providing support to people with chest, heart and stroke conditions and Long Covid to live life to the full again. Our Community Healthcare Support Service provides access to a range of supported self management and community recovery services to support people across Scotland to manage their health as well as possible and adjust to life after a diagnosis of a chest or heart condition or after a stroke.
You will support the Head of Service Delivery to develop and deliver a range of service solutions that will meet the needs of people living with all our conditions including Long COVID, clearly demonstrating the impact of these services for the people, the systems in which we operate and potential funders/donors nationally.
You will be responsible for leading a team of community support services staff and volunteers which oversee the operational delivery of the Services Plan with a specific focus on supported self-management service delivery, in line with our No Life Half Lived Strategy.
The ideal candidate will have proven senior management experience in a health and social care setting. A solid understanding of challenges in the sector with excellent communication, and organizational skills and a commitment to continuous improvement and person-centered care.
You will be confident in IT and able to work to a high professional standard using own initiative.
Experience of working with people affected by chest, heart and / or stroke conditions is desirable.
The role is home based with some travel required to head office for meetings, as well as across the country to service locations. The successful candidate must be willing and able to travel to meet with operational and strategic needs of the service.
