Smart Education is currently recruiting for a Level 2/3 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated support for a pupil with deafness, blindness, non-verbal communication needs, and complex learning difficulties. This full-time, fixed-term role in the Stratford-upon-Avon area is suited to a compassionate, resilient professional who thrives in highly specialist SEND environments.

Job Requirements:
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Proven experience supporting pupils with complex needs and sensory impairment
• Confidence supporting non-verbal communication using alternative methods
• Calm, patient, and emotionally resilient approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (Child & Adult Workforce)
• Valid passport
• Ability to obtain 24 months of employer or academic references
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and care planning
Role Responsibilities:
• Provide consistent 1:1 support to a pupil with deafness, blindness, and non-verbal communication needs
• Support sensory learning, mobility, personal care routines, and engagement activities
• Implement communication strategies such as tactile cues, symbols, and sensory approaches
• Promote independence, emotional regulation, and safe exploration
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and external professionals
• Maintain accurate records and uphold the highest safeguarding standards
• Create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
