Role Purpose
The key purpose of the role is to be a Travel expert, working on a variety of business travel accounts. The role involves booking, amending, and cancelling all UK, European and worldwide Business travel requirements, whilst offering a high level of service. Within the remit of the role, you will process all aspects of business travel from flights, rail, hotels, and ancillary services, whilst always working within the client’s travel policy.

* Mon – Friday 37.5hrs
* Location: East Kilbride

Operational Responsibilities
* Process bookings, amendments, and cancellations within SLA through multiple contact channels, converting general enquiries into actual bookings using all available tools and technology.
* Obtain an accurate and comprehensive customer needs brief using appropriate questioning techniques.
* Work to the client’s travel policy, finding the most appropriate options for the customer.
* Ensure the highest level of customer service is always offered to internal and external customers.
* Effectively resolve internal and external customer and supplier queries, escalating where appropriate.
* Complete all mandatory training as determined by the business.
* Accurately process data to ensure compliance with GDPR & ISO standards.
* Keep up to date with travel trends and industry knowledge.
* Promote a professional image to all customers and suppliers.
* Be aware of team targets and overall team performance against targets.
* Maximize supplier income by actively promoting and selling through our agreed preferred partners.
Experience & Skills
* Experience in Retail or Business Travel
* Knowledge of the Travel Industry
* Proven customer service experience
* IT & computer literacy with experience of email and web-based programs & GDS skills (Galileo)
* Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
* Understanding of client needs and requirements.
* Logical thinking and strong analytical skills.
* Ability to work within a team environment to achieve team/department objectives.
