Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver - Moira We're looking for a reliable and hard-working Warehouse Operative with forklift experience to join our busy food distribution team in Moira. This hands-on role involves loading/unloading deliveries, picking orders, moving stock with a forklift, and keeping the warehouse clean and well-organised. Working in a food warehouse, you'll need to follow hygiene and safety standards closely while ensuring products are handled with care. Accurately pick stock for production and dispatch orders according to instructions and order sheets. Put stock away into appropriate storage locations using barcode scanners or manual records. Carry out stock counts and report any discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and health & safety within the warehouse. Assist with loading and unloading deliveries, checking goods in/out. Work closely with production, planning, and logistics teams to ensure stock availability and accuracy. Follow all company procedures including food safety, allergen control, and hygiene standards. Essential Criteria: Valid FLT licence (e.g. Counterbalance, Reach) - RTITB or equivalent Experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment Good attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy Ability to work well as part of a team and follow instructions Comfortable working in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment Physically fit and able to lift and move stock as required Desirable Criteria Awareness of HACCP, allergen handling, or food hygiene practices Previous experience in the food manufacturing or FMCG sector Familiarity with inventory systems or handheld scanners Ashton Recruitment is acting as a Recruitment Agency.
