Home Tutor Required – Special Educational Needs (SEN) – Scarborough Hours: 10 hours per week Location: Scarborough region (candidates from nearby areas also considered) Start Date: Immediate / As soon as possible About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and compassionate SEN home tutor to support a young child who is transitioning into education after a recent move. This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference by providing personalised, one-to-one support in the child’s home. The ideal tutor will: * Have experience with early years children and those with developmental or communication difficulties. * Be skilled in play-based learning, turn-taking games, action rhymes, and sensory engagement. * Be proficient in augmentative communication methods (PECs, Makaton) and early communication strategies. * Support emotional regulation and help manage distress and sensory differences. * Monitor progress against EHCP outcomes, maintain records, and provide reports for review meetings. * Work collaboratively with parents, professionals, and the commissioning team.
