About the Role
HMP Hewell is hiring an experienced Band 7 Clinical Lead to support the prison healthcare team for a 12‑week assignment. This position is suited for a senior nurse with strong leadership experience and confidence working in secure environments.
Key Duties
* Lead and support the prison healthcare clinical team
* Oversee daily clinical operations
* Ensure safe, high‑quality care delivery
* Conduct assessments and manage care plans
* Supervise and mentor nursing staff
* Maintain compliance with safeguarding and security procedures
Requirements
* Band 7 Clinical Lead / Senior Registered Nurse
* MUST have valid Prison Clearance
* Strong leadership & supervisory background
* Experience in prison, forensic, secure, or offender healthcare
* Excellent communication & clinical decision‑making skills
Contract Details
* 12‑week full‑time placement
* Monday to Friday (08:00 – 16:00)
* On‑site at HMP Hewell, Redditch
