An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Hull and East Riding Intermediate Care Community Team as a Generic Therapy Associate Practitioner.
You will be supported by a well-established and experienced Multidisciplinary Team, receiving supervision from an Advanced Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist.

Main duties of the job
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy to patients in community Intermediate Care rehabilitation across Hull and East Riding. The role involves collaboration with both Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists, as well as independent work under supervision.
You will receive training and work towards competencies in both professions, with ongoing support to deliver high-quality therapy interventions.
Applicants should be empathetic, possess excellent communication and listening skills, and be capable of motivating others. Experience working with individuals with physical problems in community or hospital settings is preferred, and candidates must be a driver with basic IT skills.

Qualifications
* Relevant NVQ Level 4 or Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care, or demonstrable experience in rehabilitation.
Knowledge
* Awareness of healthy living practices
* Understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act
* Knowledge of rehabilitation program development to improve independence and fitness
* Understanding of risks related to exercise and escalation procedures
* Knowledge of the rehabilitative process and professional role
* Familiarity with the Mental Capacity Act, Safeguarding Adults and Young People
