Location
We are situated on Baglan Moors in Port Talbot in the purpose‑built Port Talbot Resource Centre, conveniently located just off the M4 motorway at Baglan.
Role Overview
We are looking for a salaried GP who will work 4 sessions alongside our current two partners.
Responsibilities
* Triage and face‑to‑face appointments
* All general GP duties
* Equitable share of workload and cover for partners and colleagues
* On‑call duties when requested by the partnership
* Check and sign repeat prescriptions
* Handle workflow queries, blood results, prescriptions, medical reports, examinations, referral letters (NHS and private) and correspondence (Docman) by the end of the working week
* Take an equitable share of queries and workload from the wider MDT team
* Make professional autonomous decisions with self‑referred patients or those referred by another MDT member
* Record and make contemporaneous IT‑based consultation notes to agreed standards
* Prescribe within locally agreed guidelines
* Working day runs from 08:30 to 18:30
Qualifications
* Qualified GP
* MRCGP
* General Practitioner (Certificate of Completion of Training CCT)
* Full GMC Registration
* National Performers List registration
* Eligibility to practice in the UK independently
* Experience of working in primary care
* Experience of working in a GP practice
* Experience of medicines management
Background Check
