Short Description JOB DESCRIPTION Salary: L8 - L12 (£61,534 to £67,898) Description Lead SENDCo L8 - L12 Full-time, permanent Start date: January 2026 or sooner if possible About The Role “Ambition without limit” This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to lead and coordinate SEND, ensuring outstanding support for students with additional needs. “We break down barriers” As Lead SENDCo you will embody the Trust value “we break down barriers” in the pursuit to ensure no SEND student is left behind. We are therefore seeking a passionate and experienced Lead SENDCo across our community of schools which will allow you to carry out the duties as the designated SENDCo in Outwood Academy Hemsworth alongside supporting the other 3 academies in our community. In addition, Outwood Academy Hemsworth will have a dedicated existing SENDCo to enable you to successfully carry out your strategic duties. “We are family” As the Lead SENDCo across four academies, you will play a strategic role in shaping and implementing a unified approach to SEND provision, ensuring consistency and excellence across all academies. You will work closely with academy principals, SENDCOs and support staff to develop and deliver high-quality inclusive practices, while also providing expert guidance on interventions, funding applications, and compliance with statutory requirements.
