JOB ROLE: Support Worker
HOURS: Full Time 37.5 hours
LOCATION: Callington PL17
SALARY: £12.60 - £13.30 Depending on qualifications
Must Have: Full UK Driving Licence
Our specialist Supported Living and Outreach service in Callington provides support for people with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health needs and Acquired Brain Injuries.
We work in partnership with Local Health Professionals such as social workers, community nurses, and specialists like Speech and Language Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Occupational Therapists.
Person-Centred Planning: Our staff support each person to create a person-centred plan that tells us how they want to live their life now and in the future. Through a range of communication tools, we ensure that each person is closely involved in the development of their own plan.
Responsibilities include:
* Prompting service users' independence while helping them live fulfilling lives
* Supporting & encouraging development of personal skills through hobbies and interests
* Maintaining and assisting with health care needs, including accompanying service users to routine appointments or administering medication
* Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills, and shopping
* Assisting with personal care (depending on service user)
* Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking
Experience within the care sector is not needed as we offer full training, coaching, and development.
