Mechanical Project ManagerBanbridgeFull-time | MondayThursday 8am5pm, Friday 8am3pmCompetitive Salary (DOE)BenefitsFull in-house training and career developmentCompetitive pension schemeLife assuranceHealth cash planFree annual health checks30 days annual leave (increasing with service)Social and wellbeing events throughout the yearFree onsite parkingComplimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate & fruitModern, supportive working environmentKenect Recruitment is working with our client, a leading organisation within the UK & Ireland building services and offsite manufacturing sector, to recruit an experienced Mechanical Project Manager.This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and growing team delivering high-quality prefabricated mechanical solutions across a range of commercial and industrial projects.Role Overview:The Mechanical Project Manager will take ownership of off-site mechanical plantroom projects within a busy manufacturing facility, managing them from planning through to completion.You will be responsible for tracking progress, identifying issues early, and driving solutions to ensure projects remain on programme, within budget, and delivered to a high standard of quality.This role requires a strong blend of technical understanding, hands-on delivery experience, and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders across mechanical, electrical, and BMS disciplines.Key Responsibilities:Project Planning & ExecutionOversee mechanical build activity across multiple plantroom modules on the factory floorWork closely with supervisors and trades to maintain programme deliveryEnsure works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, programme, and quality standardsCoordinate with electrical, BMS, and other trades to avoid clashes and delaysTechnical & Engineering OversightProvide mechanical engineering input during design, equipment selection, and layout stagesReview drawings, vendor documentation, and material take-offsEnsure installations meet design intent, safety requirements, and quality standardsProcurement & Supply ChainWork with procurement and supply chain teams on mechanical equipment and servicesFlag material shortages and lead time risks earlyMonitor supplier performance and delivery schedulesSubcontractor ManagementManage subcontractors and third-party suppliersEnsure compliance with safety, quality, and programme requirementsHold regular progress meetings and site reviewsProvide weekly updates to key stakeholdersCost, Quality & Risk ControlMonitor project costs, forecasts, and progress against programmeWork with commercial teams to manage variations and cost controlIdentify risks early and implement mitigation plansMaintain high-quality standards across all deliverablesCompliance & DocumentationMaintain up-to-date project records including drawings, certifications, change orders, and commissioning documentsEnsure full compliance with industry standards and internal proceduresSupport QA, handover, and audit processesEssential Requirements:Strong technical understanding of HVAC systems, pipework, and mechanical servicesHNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services (or equivalent)Minimum 3 years experience in mechanical project management (manufacturing or industrial environment preferred)Strong commercial awareness and budget management skillsExcellent communication and problem-solving abilityExperience in contract and vendor managementHands-on, practical approach to project deliveryDesirable Experience:Offsite MEP / prefabrication or modular manufacturing experienceExposure to mechanical, electrical, and BMS coordinationContinuous improvement mindsetFamiliarity with QA processes, snagging, and handover documentationIf you are interested in this opportunity please send your CV via the link provided or call Naomi at Kenect Recruitment on for further informationWHJS1_NI
