The Challenge:
Seeking a rewarding challenge? This operational support role involves supporting an active fighter unit, specifically overseeing the security and integrity of systems that keep the F-35 flying. The role focuses on the Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS), critical for the maintenance and operation of the F-35 Lightning II.
This position is based at RAF Lakenheath, UK, supporting the USAF 48th Fighter Wing, and involves managing a team of 15 ALIS Admin expatriates, overseeing multiple squadrons and peripherals.
The ALIS Squadron Asc Manager will coordinate administrative tasks, manage recruitment, training, performance assessments, and work with technical teams to troubleshoot issues. Additionally, the role involves acting as an ALIS Systems Admin SME, supporting network, systems, and database administration, and providing technical support and training to US Airmen.
Key qualities for success include leadership, communication skills, prioritization, and stress management. The role requires a minimum two-year expatriate commitment to the UK, with potential travel for deployment support. Candidates must obtain a UK work visa and security clearances, including a DoD Top Secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
* Secret security clearance within the last 6 years
* Ability to obtain and maintain DoD IAT Level II certification (Security+, CySA+, or CCNA)
* 12 years of experience in systems, databases, or networks
* 3 years of ALIS administration experience
* 3 years of leadership experience
Desired Skills:
* Leadership and people management experience
* Project management skills
* Business acumen and influence management
* Experience troubleshooting web applications
* Familiarity with JBOSS (WildFly), disaster recovery, VM management, network spanning technology, updates, Splunk, Red Hat Linux administration, Oracle and SQLServer database management, and control account management
* Familiarity with Lockheed Martin products and processes related to JSF ALIS hardware and software
