Job Opportunity: Behaviour Mentor – Blandford Forum & Poole

Are you passionate about supporting young people to thrive both in and out of the classroom? We are looking for an experienced and motivated Behaviour Mentor to join our dedicated team, working across Blandford Forum and Poole.
You’ll be working with students in KS2–KS4 who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and associated challenges. This is a varied and rewarding position that includes:
* Providing 1:1 and small group mentoring support
* Liaising closely with parents and carers
* Reviewing student timetables and coordinating additional interventions
* Acting as a Deputy Safeguarding Lead
* Undertaking Therapeutic Thinking training and delivering training to staff
* Full driving licence and access to a car – travel between sites is essential
* Extensive experience working with children with SEMH or additional needs
* Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and resilience
* Degree-level education is desirable
* A background in sports or coaching is highly regarded – those with active, engaging approaches tend to excel in this role

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
