The Role:
1. Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, price, delivery, and service.
2. Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable agreements.
3. Place purchase orders and track delivery schedules to ensure timely receipt of materials.
4. Monitor inventory levels and co-ordinate with teams for efficient stock management.
5. Resolve supplier issues related to quality, delivery delays, and discrepancies in shipments.
6. Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and supplier data
7. Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement regulations, and ethical standards.
8. Assist in developing and implementing procurement strategies and cost-saving initiatives.
Qualifications:
9. Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
10. Proven experience (typically 1-3 years) as a Buyer, Procurement Specialist, or Materials Coordinator.
11. Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
12. Good understanding of procurement software and ERP systems.
13. Ability to analyse and interpret market trends and supplier performance.
14. Detail-oriented with strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
15. Knowledge of regulations, and industry standards.
Hours of work: Mon to Thurs - 5pm, Friday - 4pm
Salary: £29K per annum (based on experience)
