Legal Counsel – International Projects
An opportunity has arisen for a Legal Counsel to join a well-established in-house legal team supporting a wide-ranging international portfolio.
This role sits within a specialist team advising on commercial agreements and projects with international and cross-border elements. The work is varied and high impact, offering exposure to complex international activity and engagement with senior stakeholders across the organisation.
The role
You will deliver pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice across a broad range of international matters, including:
* International operational projects – supporting overseas initiatives where the organisation establishes and operates activities in new jurisdictions. This includes advising on market entry considerations, regulatory frameworks, and the negotiation and management of commercial contracts required to operate in-country, working alongside local advisers and agents.
* International partnerships and collaborations – advising on cross-border strategic partnerships, joint initiatives, exchange arrangements and international projects with third-party organisations.
You will not be expected to have prior experience in every aspect of this work. We are keen to hear from commercial or corporate lawyers currently working in-house or in private practice who want to develop their experience in an international setting. The team is keen to speak with lawyers who are curious, adaptable, and confident applying strong commercial judgement to new and evolving projects .
Working pattern & package
* Hybrid working model with an expectation of three days per week on-site (pro-rated for part-time)
* Full-time and part-time working arrangements considered
* Competitive overall package, including: 10% annual bonus, 10% employer pension contribution & 38 days’ annual leave
