Job Description
We have a new opportunity to be part of our IT team in the role of Solution Architect to design solutions that deliver business outcomes, align with the Enterprise Architecture vision, and actively contribute to the Team’s primary objective of consistently being a top three team in the FIA Constructor’s Championship.
You will be responsible for:
* Leading architecture design of new technology solutions, ensuring alignment with the overall architecture vision, principles, standards, and meeting both functional and non-functional requirements, with a focus on security, performance, and risk management.
* Evaluating and recommending solution options based on requirements, cost, and business benefits.
* Participating in product selection RFI/RFP processes, providing technical input and solution due diligence.
* Leading solution design across Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Product Lifecycle Management transformations.
* Owning software governance and ensuring all new software complies with our standards and non-functional requirements.
* Presenting solution recommendations at the Design Authority and managing resulting actions.
* Providing technical guidance to the delivery team on software development, integration, data, and low-code solutions such as Power Apps.
* Collaborating with Product Managers to support architectural design, patterns, and best practices in backlog and roadmap development.
* Supporting the creation and maintenance of standards and best practices organization-wide.
* Building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, demonstrating leadership and expertise.
* Understanding functional and non-functional requirements through stakeholder engagement.
* Retaining overall ownership of solutions from design through implementation and transition into operation.
What you will need to be successful in this role:
* Experience with Azure Cloud.
* Experience working in hybrid environments (Cloud and On-Premise).
* Proficiency in design patterns and modeling notations such as UML and BPMN.
* Knowledge of TOGAF framework.
* Experience delivering solutions for Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance, Supply Chain, HR, CRM) and Product Lifecycle Management systems.
* Technical leadership and guidance experience.
* Knowledge of integration techniques, architecture patterns, and non-functional drivers.
* Understanding of data architecture, Big Data, AI/ML, data warehousing, and analytics.
* Experience in technology product selection, impact assessment, and validation against stakeholder requirements.
* Background in software development.
* Extensive Solution Architect experience.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present technical designs effectively.
* Strong problem analysis and resolution skills.
* Self-motivated with the ability to motivate others in challenging environments.
* Ability to work calmly and confidently under pressure to meet targets and deadlines.
* Experience working in agile delivery environments.
This is a full-time office-based role at our campus in Silverstone, with travel to other locations as needed.
