Learning Support Assistant - Secondary School Birmingham (B42) - Full-Time - From £90 PAYE
Are you energetic and committed to supporting learners to reach their full potential? Long Term Futures is working with a partner secondary school in the Perry Barr (B42) area who are looking for a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a student with Cerebral Palsy and Attachment Disorder.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in 1:1 support, who is patient, understanding, and passionate about making a real difference in a student's life.
What You'll Be Doing:
Providing dedicated 1:1 support, ensuring the student feels safe, engaged, and motivated
Supporting the student's physical, emotional, and academic development
Implementing strategies to build trust, confidence, and positive relationships
Assisting with mobility needs and ensuring sufficient support around toiletting needs
Working closely with teachers, SEN staff, and parents to create a consistent and supportive learning environment
What We're Looking For:
Experience working 1:1 with students with additional needs - essential
A positive, energetic, and adaptable approach to learning support
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Experience supporting students with attachment difficulties and physical disabilities
A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential - experience and the right mindset are key!
