This is an opportunity for an experienced editor to join a publication focused on influencing government figures on the UK’s fiscal policy-making. Their reporting and data are utilized by renowned UK financial institutions such as the Bank of England, Financial Conduct Authority, Financial Ombudsman Service, HM Treasury, Prudential Regulatory Authority, and UK Finance.
They are seeking an experienced Editor to lead the company at a pivotal time for UK monetary policy. This role offers a fantastic chance for a financial journalist to shape a key industry publication.
As an Editor, you will:
1. Set content themes, write and commission articles, and coordinate a collaborative team to deliver high-quality coverage.
2. Research and interpret historical financial data.
3. Network with industry experts, Whitehall officials, and political actors.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Coordinate editorial, design, and production teams.
* Maintain and expand industry contacts, identifying and commissioning high-quality contributors.
* Lead monthly editorial meetings and set content direction.
* Research, write, and produce original content.
Key Requirements include:
* Significant experience as a financial journalist, preferably covering public finance.
* Or significant experience in financial policy within government or The Bank of England.
You will be required to work one day a month in their Norwich office, which is easily accessible from London.
