We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Financial Controller to contribute to our vibrant and inclusive work culture, where innovation, diversity, and excellence are valued. The role involves financial responsibility for our multi-million-pound manufacturing business, providing leadership to the Finance team, and supporting strategic business initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage the finance team, overseeing financial and management accounting processes, P&L and Balance Sheet review, and variance analysis.
2. Ensure financial control compliance with GAAP, corporate policies, and audit requirements.
3. Manage monthly reporting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes.
4. Support business improvement initiatives through accurate financial analysis and cross-functional collaboration.
5. Oversee cost management, inventory control, cash flow analysis, and working capital cycles.
6. Support the implementation of new IT systems and structures.
7. Establish credit controls, resolve disputes, and monitor collections.
8. Manage Capex strategies and support sales and operational reviews.
Qualifications and Experience
1. University degree and qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent).
2. Significant experience in financial analysis and operational business experience is advantageous.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with ERP systems.
4. Strong business acumen, technical knowledge of GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley, and experience with internal controls.
5. Excellent analytical skills, ethics, and ability to work under deadlines.
6. Ability to interact effectively with management and staff in an international environment.
