Overview
At Quest Global, we are actively looking for an Operations and Maintenance Engineer to join an Oil & Gas project based at Fawley, UK.
Responsibilities
* Provide strong technical leadership in Inspection / Corrosion Management for Oil & Gas upstream / downstream assets.
* Manage the risk based inspection program, troubleshoot, support asset improvement, and technology selection.
* Lead, develop, and manage the integrity team to execute workflows with quality at scale.
* Provide pre-sales support for new business deals and post-sales support for assigned projects.
* Coordinate with customers, sales teams, and global technical teams; bridge communication between stakeholders.
* Review technical scoping, estimation, fitment, and feasibility studies; map customer expectations to solution design.
* Perform degradation evaluations related to pressure equipment, heat exchangers, piping, fired equipment, flares, tanks, and pressure relief devices; monitor and surveil integrity parameters to ensure reliable operations.
* Troubleshoot, conduct root cause analysis, and steward integrity recommendations.
* Identify bad actors and analyze to reduce equipment downtime; leverage data analytics and digital tools for upgraded work practices.
* Lead initiatives in technology adoption, automation, and AI/IOT techniques within the Oil & Gas portfolio.
* Engage in degradation assessments and fitness-for-service evaluations; support integrity assurance activities (FFS, corrosion evaluations, Remaining Life Studies).
Qualifications
* Bachelor of Engineering degree (Mechanical) with 12 to 15+ years of oil & gas experience (refining/petrochemical/LNG).
* Experience in Risk Based Inspection methodologies, inspection optimization, API damage mechanisms for refinery/chemicals, in-service inspection of fixed equipment.
* Knowledge of materials, corrosion & welding, NDT techniques, thickness inspection management, and corrosion management.
* Familiarity with software such as PV Elite, Nozzle Pro, Caesar, Sage Plus; working knowledge of ASME Sec Div. 1/2, Sec V, Sec IX, Sec II, ASME B31.3/ B31.1/ B31.4/ B31.8, and ASME PCC-2.
* Ability to interface with Process, Rotating Equipment, Materials, and other engineering disciplines; ability to lead teams.
* Good to have skills: API 580/510/570/571, API 653, NACE Senior Corrosion Technologist, BSI ISO/ ENI AS Standards, AWS/ CSWIP/ ASNT NDT techniques; Meridium / Credo / Pestra and SAP; automation, AI, and IoT implementations in Oil & Gas.
