Fortress Recruit is working with a cutting-edge engineering business in Dorset to find a 3D CAD Designer with a background in electro-mechanical systems. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly skilled team working on innovative products across a range of applications. Taking the lead on creating 3D CAD models, assemblies, and sub-assemblies for mechanical and electrical systems, your work will be integral to the design, development, and improvement of complex products. Key responsibilities will include: * Developing 3D CAD models from technical specifications and datasheets * Designing assemblies/sub-assemblies for electro-mechanical equipment * Generating BOMs and supporting the creation of technical documentation * Participating in design reviews and customer meetings * Resolving technical issues in existing product designs * Ensuring compliance with engineering standards and regulations To succeed in this role, you will have: * Experience in a CAD design role * Proficiency in SolidEdge or similar 3D CAD tools * A background in mechanical/electro-mechanical system design * Knowledge of materials, mechatronics, actuators, electronics packaging, and composites (highly desirable) This is an opportunity to join a forward-thinking engineering environment where your ideas and input matter.
