A successful accountancy firm near to Ashby-De-La-Zouch are seeking to hire for a key job role and are looking for a mixed Bookkeeper and Payroll professional. The firm are undergoing a period of growth and are looking to expand their workforce to deal with the workload. The salary is negotiable, will of course depend on experience and qualification level and is open within reason. The firm will also consider full-time and part-time applications.
This is an office-based position, but there is some flexibility around start and finish times. Free parking is available on site.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee payroll processing for a portfolio of clients, including maintaining payroll records and handling client queries
Prepare and submit VAT returns across a range of VAT schemes
Build strong client relationships and provide trusted financial advice.
Prepare accurate financial statements, including income and expenditure reports.
Carry out bookkeeping using Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage
Ensure correct VAT treatment and transaction allocation
Raise and process journals
Assist in preparing management accounts and financial reports.
Liaise with clients on payroll data submission and explain variances
Respond to client queries in a professional and friendly manner
Manage workload independently while being a collaborative team member
