Housing Assistant
Job description
We are seeking a Housing Assistant to complement our professional Housing Team, working within the tenancy management service of the Council, you will support the team with all aspects of social housing. You will play a crucial part in supporting our communities and valuing our people along with making a difference by delivering on our objectives.
In this role you will work closely with our communities, partners, and our internal colleagues to deliver an exceptional tenancy management service. You will provide meaningful support to our Housing Officers and to our tenants. Whilst this role is important to service delivery and will play a key role in meeting our objectives, this position also represents an opportunity for you to learn and develop the knowledge, skills and experience to progress into the Housing Officer role in the future.
Our service is a forward thinking, dedicated and the team you'll be joining work exceptionally well together, whilst providing a wide range of services within our communities. You will play a significant part in transforming services and finding innovative ways to resolve challenging situations.
About you
It is preferrable that you have experience of working in a housing or customer service role previously, however more importantly you must be passionate and enthusiastic about delivering exceptional customer service whilst working well under pressure. You must have the willingness to learn, develop new skills and be an excellent team player.
To be successful you will need to:
* Have a good standard of education through qualification (e.g., GCSE Maths and English Grade C/5 or equivalent)
* Have excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with a diverse range of customers
* Have the ability to multi-task
* Be resilient and empathetic.
* You will be highly motivated and customer solution focused.
