Description
* Oversee the operations of the accounting department.
* Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions.
* Coordinate the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts.
* Ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
* Manage the production of annual reports and end-of-year closing processes.
* Monitor and analyse department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources.
* Advise staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions.
* Respond to inquiries from the Director of Finance, and other finance and firm-wide managers regarding financial results and special reporting requests.
Profile
A successful Financial Controller should have:
* A degree in Accounting or Finance.
* Professional certification such as CIMA, ACCA or equivalent.
* Proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent GAAP, SEC rules, and regulations.
* Strong understanding of financial and accounting processes.
* Excellent leadership skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* An estimated salary range of £80,000 to £90,000 GBP per annum.
