Service Care Solutions is supporting the Scottish COVID‑19 Inquiry and is looking for a qualified solicitor or advocate with a passion for impactful legal work.
This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to Scotland’s response to the COVID‑19 pandemic, working on a key legal project that aims to establish facts and learn lessons from the strategic handling of the pandemic in Scotland.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing legal advice to the Chair and Inquiry teams
* Identifying, recovering, and analysing documentary evidence
* Developing lines of inquiry and identifying relevant witnesses
* Taking witness statements and supporting evidence gathering
* Managing disclosure and redaction exercises
* Liaising with Counsel and external legal representatives
Qualifications
* Qualification as a solicitor or advocate in Scottish Law
* Strong legal analysis and attention to detail
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Flexibility, adaptability, and a collaborative approach

Salary: Grade C1 (£62,111 per annum)
Location: Edinburgh (Hybrid – 2 days in office)
Contract: 12 months (possible extension to 23 months)
