JOB : Junior Mechanical Engineer
LOCATION : Oldham
TERM: Permanent
SALARY : GBP 25,000: GBP 35,000, dependent on experience
My client is a specialist manufacturer. They are looking to take on a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Oldham on a permanent basis.
The Junior Mechanical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
: Degree / HND / HNC qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
: Technical knowledge with the ability to read engineering drawings
: Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials : sheet metal, plastics, injection moulding, machining, assembly etc
: Proficiency with 3D CAD software: ideally SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD etc.
: Knowledge of tender process would be beneficial
: Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
: Excellent customer:service skills
: Confident and driven for career progression
The Junior Mechanical Engineer role will involve:
: Excellent opportunities for training and development, with room to progress within the company
: Using 3D CAD (SolidWorks)
: Producing technical drawings
: Inputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMs
: Dealing with customers on a technical level
: Investigating new product lines and areas within which the company can expand
: Supporting technical delivery of the company's products and services
: Working on continuous improvement projects
