Insafe International ltd is recruiting for an experienced locksmith/safe engineer who will be based in the Leicestershire area.
Locksmith/Safe Engineer
This role requires enthusiastic candidates to carry out locksmithing and safe opening tasks at our clients’ locations throughout your area (usually up to a maximum of 2 hours travel time from your home). This will include repairs to existing equipment, including mechanical and electronic systems.
Duties will include (list is not exhaustive):
* General locksmithing, i.e., lock-fitting, cylinder changes and pinning, key cutting, code changes to coded door locks, etc.
* Safe opening & repair (dependent on ability).
* Installing electronic safe locks.
* Code changes to safe locks.
* Programming of electronic safe locks.
* Battery changes.
Training:
Since this is a role for an experienced candidate, we would expect candidates to have a good knowledge in this field. Additional and ongoing training will be supplied by Insafe, on client-specific products, to successful candidates.
Skills and experiences:
* Both mechanical and electronic aptitude is essential.
* A reasonable level of IT literacy is essential as we use a mobile platform for allocating jobs and reporting. Laptops are also used for programming electronic safe locks.
* Experience in this field is a requirement.
* Ability to work on one’s own while performing remote site visits.
* A reasonable degree of physical fitness is required as the role can be physical from time to time.
* A full valid UK driving licence is essential.
* Since this role is within the security industry, candidates must not have a criminal record. DBS checks will be applied.

* A liveried vehicle is supplied equipped with the necessary stock, key cutting machines etc.
* A mobile phone, laptop and tablet are provided.
* Company uniform and PPE are provided.
* 42.5hr standard week plus overtime (where available) and On-Call rota (one 7-day period per month).
* Holidays are 20 days per annum plus Public Holidays rising to 25 days.
* Salary is subject to experience and ability.
