Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and dispensing of medications to patients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols. Your contributions will play a vital role in providing excellent patient care and supporting the overall operations of the pharmacy.
We are a busy pharmacy located on the edge of 3 areas and are commited to providing excellent care to anyone who walks through our door.
Responsibilities
* Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
* Provide exceptional patient care by answering queries regarding medications and offering guidance on proper medication administration.
* Assist pharmacists in managing inventory, including ordering, receiving, and storing pharmaceutical supplies.
* Maintain accurate records of prescriptions dispensed and manage PMR records.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
* Conduct regular checks on medication stock levels and expiry dates to ensure safety and efficacy.
* Uphold cleanliness and organisation within the pharmacy environment.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser or in a similar role is highly desirable but not necessary. (We will provide all the training for the job role, so don't be afraid if you want to try something new)
* Strong understanding of patient care principles.
* Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
