About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Housing Support Worker to join our team, providing person‑centred support to asylum seekers and refugees living within our supported accommodation services. You'll play a key role in helping individuals rebuild their lives, access essential services, and integrate safely and confidently into the community.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide practical and emotional support to asylum seekers, promoting safety, stability, and independence.
* Assist individuals in understanding their rights and responsibilities regarding housing and tenancy.
* Support with accessing healthcare, education, legal advice, and welfare services.
* Help residents develop life skills such as budgeting, communication, and community participation.
* Liaise with local authorities, health professionals, and partner agencies to ensure a holistic support approach.
* Maintain accurate and confidential case notes and ensure compliance with safeguarding policies.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
* Empathetic, patient, and committed to equality and inclusion.
* Knowledgeable about the asylum system, immigration processes, or housing support (training provided if not).
* Able to build trusting relationships with vulnerable individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
* Organised, with strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
* Experienced in a support, social care, or housing role (desirable but not essential).
